Basic Life Support (BLS) - Fort Collins

The BLS (Basic Life Support) initial and renewal CPR AED instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics. You will receive a 2-year BLS Provider certification through the American Heart Association. All courses issue certification cards the same day as the class.

**First Aid certification can be added from the registration screen.

CPR AED - Fort Collins

CPR AED courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (for example, OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. You will receive a 2-year CPR AED certification. All courses issue certification cards the same day as class.

First Aid CPR AED - Fort Collins

First Aid CPR AED courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. The First Aid portion covers first aid basics for the most common first aid emergencies, including how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills. You will receive a 2-year First Aid CPR AED certification. All courses issue certification cards the same day as class.

AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Fort Collins

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) training is an advanced course that highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).

Before taking ACLS, students should have a mastery of BLS skills. If you do not have a current BLS Provider card, you can add a BLS Provider course and it will be completed during your ACLS course. A student should also be able to recognize various heart rhythms, be familiar with different types of airway management tools and their use and have knowledge of the drugs commonly used to treat cardiovascular irregularities by completing a mandatory online pretest (before class) assessment and precourse work with videos.

Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) - Fort Collins, CO

The Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) Program from American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) is a nationally recognized course designed to prepare youth and new caregivers with the essential skills needed to safely and confidently care for infants and children.

This interactive program goes beyond basic babysitting tips by combining safety awareness, responsibility, and emergency preparedness. Participants learn how to prevent common injuries, respond appropriately to emergencies, and make sound decisions while caring for children in a variety of settings.

Course topics include:

Basic childcare skills for infants and children
Injury prevention and home safety
How to respond to medical emergencies and injuries
Basic first aid principles
Safe play, feeding, and supervision practices
Leadership, responsibility, and professionalism
Handling difficult behaviors and unexpected situations

The CABS program is ideal for babysitters, youth caregivers, pre-teens, teens, and young adults who want to gain confidence, build life skills, and enhance their employability as responsible caregivers.

Upon successful completion, participants receive a CABS course completion certificate, demonstrating their commitment to child safety and preparedness.

**Pediatric First Aid CPR AED training can be added during course registration.
